COLORADO SPRINGS — A North Carolina couple accused of killing an 18-month-old baby girl was arrested in El Paso County Wednesday night, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Vanessa Sanchez, 20, and her fiancée, Andrew Tyler Tomczak, 21, are accused of murdering Sanchez’s daughter.
Jackie Kirby, a spokeswoman for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, said EPSO arrested the couple around 6 p.m. EPSO had been made aware that Sanchez and Tomczak were in the county, Kirby said, but further information about the arrests could not be released because the investigation is being conducted by law enforcement in North Carolina.
