
1 Road rage triggered. Witnesses in the area of West 81st Place and Sheridan Boulevard, Arvada, reported a male driver aggressively chasing a female driver May 8. He then blocked her off in the middle of the road, exited his vehicle and yelled before throwing a punch at the victim. The suspect told police she’d brake checked him. He was issued a multi-count summons.
2 Neighborhood menace. Witnesses told police May 12 that one of their neighbors had driven at high rates of speed, squealed his tires, almost hit another car, then smashed into a Nissan Sedan before “stumbling out” of his vehicle in the 5400 block of Hoyt Drive in Arvada. He received a summons.
3 Bad start to day. Two hours after seeing his 1992 Honda Civic sitting in a parking lot May 7 in the 7700 block of West 62nd Avenue in Arvada, a man looked out his window around 9:15 a.m. and noticed the car had been stolen.
4 Face scratcher arrested. A woman was arrested May 10 in the 8400 block of West 52nd Avenue, Arvada, after scratching her common-law husband in the face during a drunken dispute.
5 Eluding plan fails. A woman nearly crashed as she sped away from police for a red-light violation May 9 at West 72nd Avenue and Carr Drive in Arvada. The suspect was located and told officers she ran because she didn’t want her restricted driver’s license revoked. She was arrested.
6 Heroin users busted. Police arrested one man and ticketed another May 13 after a vehicle search near West 60th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, Arvada, yielded empty heroin baggies and other drug paraphernalia.
