LONGMONT — As a suspect in the death of a Colorado State Patrol cadet made his first court appearance Wednesday, authorities announced that a memorial service for the cadet is scheduled for Friday morning in Lafayette.
The “Celebration of Life” for 21-year-old Cadet Trooper Taylor Thyfault, who was killed in the line of duty Saturday, is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Flatirons Community Church, 355 W. South Boulder Road.
Before the service, a police procession will leave the area of Colorado 66 and Interstate 25 at 8:15 a.m. and head south on I-25, west on Colorado 7, west to 119th Street, south to West South Boulder Road and end at the church.
Traffic will be delayed in the area during the procession.
