PHILADELPHIA — Jorge De La Rosa was scratched off a second consecutive scheduled start Saturday because of a cut on his left middle finger, the team said. Eddie Butler will start in his place.
at Cincinnati because of the cut, which he suffered before a start at Coors Field last week.
“I felt something wet. It was blood,” De La Rosa said of the cut when it showed up during warmups before his previous start. “It was hard. You saw the game. I didn’t have command.”
That led the Rockies to call up Chris Rusin from Triple-A in his place.
Butler, who was penciled in to start Monday against the Dodgers at Coors Field, will instead throw two days earlier against the Phillies.
