1 Dangerous strangers. Someone knocked on a man’s door at his home in the 10200 block of Ura Lane, Thornton, on May 18 and asked the resident if he could live there. The man had never seen this person before and told him to go away. The suspect then threw a rock through the man’s window. He was arrested.

2 When the rent’s due. Store security at the K-Mart at 1400 E. 104th Ave., Thornton, caught a man trying to steal nearly $1,000 worth of merchandise May 15. The suspect said he found a receipt in the parking lot and grabbed similar items and then planned to sell all of the stuff to pay for his rent.

3 Parking lot wasted. The manager of the King Soopers at 4850 E. 62nd Ave., Commerce City, called police May 20 because a drunken man was stumbling through the parking lot, bumping into cars. Officers found a leaking bottle of vodka in the man’s pocket and took him to the hospital.

4 Heavy haul. The manager of a property in the 8800 block of North Federal Boulevard, Federal Heights, reported May 11 that someone stole a nearly 4-ton A/C condenser from the side of the building.

5 Facebook threats. A former employee of the McDonald’s at 6050 Parkway Drive, Commerce City, got fired and then posted on his Facebook that he was going to come after his ex-manager. Other employees called police May 22, but officers couldn’t determine where the suspect lived.

6 Smoking car. A boy was cited for smoking marijuana in his car May 17. Neighbors in the area of 13800 Dexter Street, Thornton, reported the suspicious car.
