1 Man’s wife interrupts arrest. A man and woman were arrested May 22 when a Denver police officer stopped the man after a hit-and-run incident near the intersection of West Dartmouth Place and South Sheridan Boulevard. Once the officer stopped the man, a woman approached and demanded money that her husband owed her. The woman refused to back away and the officer arrested her.

2 Windshield smashed. On May 25, a man called Denver police after a suspect jumped on the hood of his car and stomped on his windshield. The officer responded to the intersection of West 14th Avenue and Federal Boulevard and arrested the suspect.

3 Bar patron ejected. A man was arrested May 20 after causing a scene and attempting to punch the bar manager at the Park Tavern, 931 E. 11th Ave. The suspect was escorted out of the bar but insisted on returning several times. After he attempted to punch the manager, he was subdued by an off-duty police officer working at the bar.

4 Shoplifting suspect bites officer. On May 22, a woman bit a loss-prevention officer and was combative toward police after she was apprehended for shoplifting at Macy’s, 15 S. Steele St. When confronted, a struggle ensued and afterward the woman gave Denver police a false name.

5 Suspect harasses neighbor about noise. On May 21, a man was arrested after he threatened his neighbor and threw a rock through his bathroom window in the 100 block of West Arkansas Avenue. The victim told police the suspect was harassing him over noise and threatened harm.
