1 Getaway taxi. On May 27, an officer responded to JJ Liquors, 1711 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater, regarding a theft. When an employee attempted to contact a suspect regarding the theft of several bottles of alcohol, the suspect entered a taxi parked outside the business. The taxi driver threatened to run over the liquor store employee as he tried to stop the vehicle. Officers later located the vehicle and arrested two suspects in Arvada.

2 Box cutter. A man was arrested for domestic violence May 21 in the 6100 block of WestEighth Avenue in Lakewood. As a woman was trying to leave her boyfriend, he became angry and pushed her. He also slashed one of her car’s tires with a box cutter.

3 Daddy’s car stolen. At about 5:15 a.m. May 28, an officer responded to the 2800 block of Harlan Street in Edgewater after a resident witnessed two juvenile males steal her father’s Acura Integra from a parking lot. The vehicle was locked and had a club lock on the steering wheel.

4 Concealed weapons. A man was arrested May 21 after shoplifting weapons and ammunition from Walmart, 7455 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood. The man had concealed a knife, air pistols, airgun ammo and CO2 cartridges in his clothing.

5 Burglary. On May 26, a residence in the 2200 block of Depew Street in Edgewater was burglarized. There were no signs of forced entry. Computer equipment and a TV were stolen.

6 Sad night. A woman was arrested for DUI on May 22 near West Alameda Avenue and South Pierce Street in Lakewood. She had a blood-alcohol content of 0.191, and she cried uncontrollably at the detox facility.
