Authorities say a 45-year-old Thornton woman last week died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Maria Stoian was found by a relative Wednesday in a home on the 7500 block of East 121st Place, police said. The Adams County Coroner’s Office released her identity on Friday afternoon.
Stefan Stoian, 47, , late Thursday night in her death on suspicion of first-degree murder, according to the Thornton Police Department.
An extradition hearing is scheduled in Nevada. Colorado authorities are pursuing his return.
