Police in Lakewood are searching for a vehicle in a hit-and-run Tuesday night that left a person seriously injured.
The person, described only as a “female,” was crossing Colfax Avenue on foot at about 9:15 p.m. at Ingalls Street when the vehicle, heading westbound, struck her.
“The female was lying in the left lane after the accident and the suspect vehicle left the scene,” police say.
Authorities describe the suspect vehicle as a gray, late model sedan. Police say it is possibly a 2000-2003 Oldsmobile.
Anyone with information on the hit-and-run is asked to call police at 303-987-7111.
