ViaWest Inc., a Greenwood Village-based data center and cloud services firm, has acquired Boulder’s AppliedTrust, adding IT consulting and security services capabilities in the process.
Financial terms were not immediately disclosed.
“Our customers want a future-proofed IT platform, allowing them to focus on their core business without worrying about the constantly evolving technology landscape,” Nancy Phillips, ViaWest’s chief executive officer, said in a statement. “In addition to AppliedTrust’s rich security and compliance offerings, they are an emerging leader in transforming customer IT operations through a sophisticated DevOps platform.”
The transaction comes nearly a year after ViaWest was in a $1.2 billion cash and debt deal.
ViaWest operates in Western U.S. markets, including Denver, Phoenix and Dallas. The company plans to make a push east in the coming year, officials said at the time of the Shaw deal.
