South Carolina authorities said Monday morning they have safely found a 13-year-old Colorado girl who went missing Saturday night during a family vacation.
Jalene Olivia Coward was with her family in Myrtle Beach, S.C., at the Palace Resort when at about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday she went to take her family’s trash to a trash chute and never returned.
“The missing juvenile, Jalene Olivia Coward, has been located and is safe,” Myrtle Beach police said in a statement. “Thank you for your support during this investigation which is still ongoing. Information will be released when possible.”
and several South Carolina media outlets report Jalene is from Colorado Springs.
