Tuesday Abigail Fischer is one of the most interesting mezzo sopranos singing today. She handles standard opera house repertoire but also a lot of the new music that keeps classical engaging in the 21st century. In the past year, she’s been called in to sing Mahler and Bach, as well as John Zorn, Missy Mazzoli and Stefan Weissman.
