One person is dead and five others injured after a single-vehicle rollover crash Thursday morning in the westbound lanes of Interstate 76 in Brighton.
John Bradley, a spokesman for Brighton police, said two of the injured were taken to hospitals on helicopters while the rest were taken by ambulance.
Bradley said four children and two adults were in the car when it crashed. He couldn’t immediately give the conditions of individuals.
The wreck happened at about 9:30 a.m. near the interstate’s intersection with E-470.
At about 1:30, the Colorado Department of Transportation said all westbound lanes had reopened.
Bradley says it is too early to say what caused the crash and if alcohol or drugs were involved.
