Colorado Springs authorities have identified a 25-year- old motorcyclist critically injured when he rode into the back of a marked police cruiser early Sunday.
Police say they suspect John Turchan Jr. was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the 1:30 a.m. wreck near the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and East Platte Avenue.
Turchan remains hospitalized, officials say, and he is facing charges in the crash.
Police say the officer driving the cruiser was not injured.
An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
