Janus Capital Group Inc. is starting an asset allocation fund for individual investors that aims to predict extreme market moves.
The Janus Adaptive Global Allocation Fund will invest in global stock and bond markets based on views about future price swings, the Denver-based company said Tuesday. Ashwin Alankar, head of asset allocation and risk management, and Enrique Chang, chief investment officer for equities and asset allocation, will manage the fund. Chief investment strategist Myron Scholes, who led the research and development of the fund with Alankar, will contribute to the strategy.
A similar strategy aimed at institutional clients, the Janus Adaptive Multi-Asset Strategy, is scheduled to start June 30.
