
It’s been a big day from the Microsoft press conference at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
Halo 5 Guardians led the way. Microsoft announced that Halo 5 will feature a new cooperative mode called Warzone. The mode features up to 24 players and massive maps in which players join forces to defeat A.I. controlled enemies.
Despite having their own press conference yesterday, Bethesda softworks announced that Xbox One owners will able to enjoy PC mods for free on their console. The news is a big change for console owners and will likely change the console experience.
In other news, Microsoft announced the Xbox One will now feature backward compatibility. Mike Ybarra, Microsoft’s head of platform engineering said the Xbox One will feature more 100 Xbox 360 by the holiday season. Digital Xbox 360 titles will automatically added. Players can download games from Xbox 360 disks as well.

While the games will function normally, players will be able to use the Xbox One’s features to share content and record pictures and videos. What’s more, players will be able to play with friends who are playing on Xbox 360.
Finally, developer Ubisoft announced that Rainbow Six Siege will hit stores Oct. 13. Former entries in the Rainbow Six series, Rainbow Six Vegas and Rainbow Six Vegas 2, will be bundled with the the title.
