A man suffering a gunshot wound showed up at a local hospital early Friday morning, Westminster police said.
Police were called at about 5:15 a.m. Friday on a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of West 84th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, said Kate Kazell, a Westminster Police Department spokeswoman.
When police arrived, Kazall said, they found that the car had bullet holes and blood in it. An uninjured man was found near the car, and he is believed to have been involved.
Police then located the man who had been shot. The victim is in stable condition, Kazell said, and an investigation is ongoing.
The shooting does not appear to be random, she said, and police say the public is not in danger.
