Why does health insurance have to be so expensive? Is it because the wealthy and elite rule while the rest of us struggle to pay when and if we can? I am not against Obamacare. I have to have, and I do have, insurance as a result of the Affordable Care Act. Yet, I pay a hefty premium out of a meager budget and for a less-than-suitable plan with a high deductible. It is not the worst plan, but far from fair. Should I go back to living without insurance? That was affordable.
Health care subsidies, like others, add to the looming national debt and spur inadequate public services. Generally, after 239 years, we still have a fledgling but distorted government that burdens the most vulnerable in society: our elderly, young, sick and poor. We continually make some winners and far more losers.
Gee, Uncle Sam, we need an Affordable Care Country!
