Sand Creek High School’s Liah Davis verbally committed on Tuesday to the University of New Mexico to play women’s basketball.

The soon-to-be senior averaged 15.6 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots per game last season.

Davis, a 6-foot-2 forward, helped lead Sand Creek to the 2015 Class 4A girls basketball state championship game, where the Lady Scorpions lost to Valor Christian.
