Three people were arrested Monday night in Logan County after a man fled police and tried to hide under a trailer.
The incident started about 5:35 p.m. when deputies with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were called to 15036 Ridge Road on a report of an assault. The assailant, a man, was reportedly armed with a hand gun.
Deputies were told the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle heading south into Sterling, according to a sheriff’s office media release.
The suspect vehicle was seen in the area of 7th and Cleveland streets. The vehicle pulled into an alley and came to a stop. A man matching the suspect’s description ran to a nearby trailer, witnesses told deputies.
The Sterling Police Department’s tactical team, including a negotiator, assisted deputies in trying to contact the suspect believed to be in the trailer.
A thermal imaging device was used and investigators spotted the suspect hiding beneath the trailer behind skirting. A police dog was used to flush him out.
The sheriff’s office identified the suspect as 37-year-old Allan John Wise. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon.
Stephanie Dilka, 34, and Byron Roth, 22, were both arrested in connection to the incident on suspicion of accessory to first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, obstruction and menacing, the release said.
