Missy Franklin’s résumé is getting a little longer.
The California star swimmer, who graduated from Regis Jesuit (and is, you know, a four-time Olympic gold medalist), was named Wednesday the 2015 Capital One Academic All-American of the Year for NCAA Division I by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Franklin, a psychology major, had a 3.58 grade-point average during her sophomore year. She also was the 2015 NCAA and Pac-12 Conference swimmer of of the year after winning three individual national titles in the 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke and 200 individual medley.
The 20 year old announced in March that and dedicating herself to being a full-time swimmer.
Gymnast Lindsay Mable, a 2012 graduate from Eaglecrest, was named to the All-America third team.
