A Parker man arrested during a child sex sting but not charged with any crime wants an apology from police — but he won’t get one, they say.

On Wednesday, Parker police released the names of nine people arrested as part of Operation Broken Heart II, aimed at child sex crimes. One name on the list was Kody Hansen Green, 28, of Parker, accused of soliciting child prostitution in April. But, according to court records, the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against him on June 25, six days before the police released the names and pictures to media outlets.

“I just want a public statement saying they’re sorry,” Green told Denver’s 7News.

“We’re not apologizing because he was arrested on that day for those actions,” said Sgt. Andrew Coleman. “And there’s nothing in that press release about innocent or guilty.”
