Denver police responded to a barricade situation near the intersection of South Tennyson Street and West Mississippi Avenue on Wednesday, but the situation was resolved peacefully.
Police were called to conduct a welfare check on a person at a house, said Christine Downs, a police department spokeswoman. The situation was resolved a short time later, police said.
Denver police pulled over a white Nissan in the area earlier in the morning that was wanted in connection with the death of a 23-month-old boy.
The two incidents are not believed to be connected, Downs said.
