Police in Aurora are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a woman earlier this month at gunpoint at an ATM while her children were in her car.

The robbery happened at the U.S. Bank ATM drive-up at 14111 E. Alameda Ave. on July 1 about 9:30 p.m., according to police.

“The (woman) was robbed at gun-point while her children were in the car with her,” police said in a Facebook post.

The suspect is described as a black man, between 18- and 28-years-old and 5-feet 9-inches tall. Police say he has a slim build and long dreadlocks.

“He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and stole approximately $85 cash from the victim,” the post said.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 303-739-6833.
