CENTENNIAL — After 11 weeks, 256 witnesses and 47 days in the courtroom, . Prosecutors said they will not present any rebuttal witnesses.

“The people don’t see a need to put on a rebuttal case at this time,” District Attorney George Brauchler told the judge.

Defense attorneys rested after calling their final witness on Friday morning: a defense investigator who told jurors about his dealings with the defendant in 2012. The defense began presenting its case on June 25, and the trial began on April 27.
