Saturday-Sunday: Anyone who has attended the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival over its 15 years knows that as much as it has grown — attracting more than 120,000 to Sloan’s Lake Park last year — it strives to keep the focus on Pan-Asian culture and, well, boating. This year, it expands again with its first Anime Tent, which will screen family-friendly anime films July 18-19 alongside the fest’s 100-plus performances on five stages (including dancing, music and cultural displays), two solid Asian food courts, a marketplace, martial arts demonstrations and the Dragonland kid’s area. But the main event, which includes 48 teams in two competitive divisions, remains the colorful anchor. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. July 18 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 19 at West 25th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard at Sloan’s Lake. Free. 303-953-7277 or .
