VAIL, Colo. (AP) — A man who was injured by misfired fireworks is planning to sue the company that ran the show in Avon, about 10 miles west of Vail.
The Vail Daily reports (http://bit.ly/1Kckwqm) attorney Rohn Robbins sent a notice as required by state law to Western Enterprises saying his client intends to sue the company and the town of Avon over the July 3 incident.
The town’s attorney says he can’t comment at this time.
Western Enterprises CEO Jim Burnett said he’d been unaware of any planned litigation. He said the company’s insurance carrier has been in contact with the nine people burned in the accident.
An investigation into the misfired shells is ongoing.
