If Republicans can avert their eyes from The Donald for a moment, they’ll notice the already diverse and mostly credible field of candidates — minus a loudmouth or two — in pursuit of their party’s presidential nomination just added another option: Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who knows state and national politics as well as anyone.
Trouble is, how do Kasich and other serious candidates get their message out above the din of Trump’s cymbal-crashing, especially with the first debate just two weeks away and the sponsor mandating a Top 10 spot in the polls?
Don’t be surprised to see blatant publicity stunts in upcoming days.
