Sprouts Farmers Market on Aug. 26 will open a store in neighborhood, near where the former Gates Rubber plant is being reclaimed for housing and commercial uses.
The Phoenix-based grocer expects to hire 120 people for the bakery, meat, produce, vitamin and cashier departments of the store at 197 E. Mississippi Ave.
A hiring fair will be held Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hyatt Place, 4150 E. Mississippi Ave. in Glendale.
The company is looking for a wide range of experience, a spokeswoman said.
Sprouts operates more than 200 stores in 13 states. Including the North Platt Park store, there are 27 in Colorado.
