Tuesday: Like the homegrown, nationally known “pub quiz” company Geeks Who Drink, Denver comedian Brent Gill’s “Infauxmation” is beginning to make national waves after thoroughly exploring the local pool. The “infotainment” show, which invites rotating stand-ups to improvise news commentary, will debut at New York’s The Creek & The Cave on July 31 after shows in Denver and (randomly) Toronto. Before that, Gill will welcome area comics Sam Tallent, Stephen Agyei and Nathan Lund to Comedy Works South on Tuesday to “analyze the week’s headlines, riff on their favorite stories and pretend to know more than they do,” followed by a competitive headline-writing battle and full stand-up set. 7:30 p.m. at 5345 Landmark Place in Greenwood Village. $12. 720-274-6800 or .
