Colorado Springs-based defense contractor Vectrus Inc. has received a $221 million contract extension to provide security support services to U.S. Army operations in Kuwait.
The six-month extension announced this week runs through March 2016 and includes three Army bases, the Udairi Range complex and aerial and sea ports.
Vectrus spun off from Exelis Inc. in September and provides logistics, security, transportation, life support and other support services for Army facilities. It employs more than 5,000 workers in 15 countries and generated $1.2 billion in sales in 2014.
