CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) — A woman has drowned while tubing on the South Platte River in Douglas County.
Kayakers tried unsuccessfully to save the woman Saturday afternoon.
The Denver Post reports (http://dpo.st/1IlOl1l ) that the woman was tubing with her husband when she fell into the water.
Kayakers who were downstream pulled the woman from the water and attempted to resuscitate her.
The woman’s name has not been released.
