Fort Collins police have arrested a woman suspected in a hit-and-run collision Monday afternoon that left a 14-year-old pedestrian seriously injured.

Samantha Bush, a 21-year-old from Fort Collins, faces allegations of careless driving resulting in injury, failure to give notice or render aid and false reporting.

Police say Bush hit the teen girl about 1:15 p.m. near the intersection of Orchard Place and Timber Lane.

According to police, Bush was driving a 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser westbound on Orchard Place attempting to turn southbound onto Timber Lane when she hit the girl who was crossing at the intersection.

Bush initially stopped but fled the scene before first responders arrived, police said.

Police arrested Bush on Tuesday morning after confronting her at work.

Bush is being held at the Larimer County jail, police said.

Anyone with information about the collision who has not already given a statement to police is asked to contact Officer David Kaes at 970-221-6555 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
