Monday Video games get a bad rap for all kinds of reasons, and one of the biggest is that they’re isolating. Not so with Super League Gaming’s 25-city summer tour, which stops by area theaters, including the AMC Cherry Creek 8, Southglenn Stadium 14 in Centennial and Boulder’s Cinemark Century Theater 16, among others, on Aug. 3. The competition encourages kids ages 7-14 to bring their own computers, connect to Super League’s servers, and play in first-person view on the big screen side-by-side with friends and other gamers. The title of choice this time around is Minecraft, the clever and hugely successful block-building game. The 100-minute session includes team and individual gameplay. 4 p.m. $20. Visit for details.
