Re: “Get government out of marriage altogether,” July 28 Froma Harrop column.
Attacking the governmentap involvement in marriage should not be the issue. Letap get the comprehensive sex education out of the government schools, and get back to academics. The schools should not undermine the morals of the students taught by their parents. It is not healthy physically or spiritually.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are 19.7 million new sexually transmitted diseases every year, costing us $16 billion a year. The unwed mother rate has gone from 5.6 percent in 1960, prior to sex education, to 41 percent today.
