1 Free bowling ball. A woman called police to her home in the 300 block of Linda Su Lane, Northglenn, because someone threw a glittery blue and purple bowling ball through the driver-side window of her car Aug. 7.

2 Water World robber. A man returned to his car after a day at Water World and realized that someone broke in and stole thousands of dollars worth of tools July 13. Police inspected the car in the 8800 block of Pecos Street, Federal Heights, and couldn’t find any signs of forced entry.

3 Beers in the front seat. Residents called police Aug. 2 on a carful of drunken teenagers that sped out of the area of Holly and 70th Streets in Commerce City. Police caught the car and found several cases of beer and Jägermeister. The driver was arrested.

4 Inside job. An employee of the Ross at 401 W. 104th Ave., Northglenn, was ticketed for helping a friend steal from the store for months. Loss prevention was investigating her suspicious receipts Aug. 5 and called police when she admitted to discounting or deleting items.

5 Bathroom alley. A patrolling police officer saw a suspicious man run behind the San’s Warehouse Liquors at 9380 N. Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, on July 13. When the officer followed him, he caught him urinating. He was ticketed.

6 Rude awakening. A man heard a loud crash in his driveway in the 6500 block of East 63nd Place, Commerce City on Aug. 1. When he looked outside, he saw a red truck driving away from his own truck, which had a freshly smashed rear windshield.
