
1 Scary showdown. Police were dispatched to the 700 block of East Oxford Avenue, Englewood, on Aug. 12 following reports of someone being threatened at gunpoint. A resident there said his neighbor asked to look at his AK-47, then accused him of stealing the gun. The neighbor then loaded the weapon and threatened to kill the owner with it. The neighbor was arrested.
2 Riding high. Police spotted a man riding a stolen motorcycle in the 600 block of Englewood Parkway, Englewood, on July 31. The 26-year-old driver, who had an existing warrant, was taken into custody without incident. He was carrying meth and heroin.
3 Speedy spender. A woman’s purse was stolen out of her husband’s car July 26 while it was parked in their garage in the 2800 block of West Long Drive, Littleton. While he was filing a police report, a credit agency informed him one of her credit cards had been used at a local King Soopers, gas station and hardware store. Police collected surveillance footage from the businesses, but no arrests were made.
4 Growing, growing, gone. Police executed a search warrant and discovered an illegal marijuana grow operation at a home in the 3200 block of South Lincoln Street, Englewood, on July 30. A 42-year-old woman was arrested on numerous charges.
5 Troubled duo. Police contacted a suspicious vehicle in the 2900 block of South Galapago Street, Englewood, on Aug. 8. A man inside was arrested on outstanding warrants and a woman was arrested for possession of numerous types of narcotics.
