1 Good deed punished. A woman who let a neighbor borrow her car July 30 in the 9400 block of West 56th Place, Arvada, later noticed a tablet computer missing from the vehicle. Police tracked it down to an Adams County pawn shop and arrested the suspect.

2 Couples counseling? A man cleaning his bathroom in the 5700 block of Estes Street in Arvada on Aug. 3 began berating his husband after he was asked why the bathroom needed to be cleaned. Fed up with what he called his spouse’s “increased alcohol use, ” the berated man pushed his husband and hit him twice in the head with an open palm before being arrested.

3 False reporter arrested. A witness to a possible domestic violence case was arrested July 31 in the 6300 block of Quay Street, Arvada, after he gave police a false birthdate to conceal a failure-to- appear warrant.

4 No way to treat your mother. Police arrested a man Aug. 3 in the 10600 block of West 63rd Drive, Arvada, after he snapped a TV remote in half when his mom asked him to turn down the volume. He then smashed a baby stroller into the TV before shoving his mother into a door.

5 Family brawl. A man upset that his sister’s boyfriend was being disrespectful punched the foul-mouthed boyfriend in the head July 30 at a car wash in the 8000 block of West 80th Avenue, Arvada.

6 Man fails at resisting arrest. Police pulled over and arrested a man July 31 after he sped through a red light at the intersection of Balsam Street and West 58th Avenue, Arvada. The driver became increasingly agitated and fought two officers before being handcuffed.
