Saturday. The Colorado Ballet takes it show up the road this weekend with an “An Evening Under the Stars” at the Arvada Center Outdoor Amphitheater. This annual event is one of the most relaxed dates on the ballet’s entire calendar and as family-friendly as the artform gets with seating under the amphitheater roof and on the lawn. The program can be a bit free-wheeling with the company resurrecting its best choreography of past seasons and throwing in a few surprises. This time around, the show moves between classical and contemporary dances and is centered around “In Pieces,” by choreographer Val Caniparoli, which the ballet premiered on stage in 2013. 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Arvada Center Outdoor Amphitheater, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada. $15-$39. 720-898-7200 or .
