Denver police have seen a 47 percent increase in scooter and motorbike thefts so far this year.
The police department has received 53 reports of scooter thefts compared to 36 reports in 2014, according to a news release.
Police offer several tips to including: locking the ignition, using a disk brake lock and locking your bike to other bikes or a secure, stationary object that can’t be easily dismantled.
