Saturday. Despite its aim of honoring veterans, active military and their families, Castle Rock’s inaugural “Freedom Fest” is far from a solemn affair. The music-centric event features live sets from the Led Zeppelin Experience, Kip Winger, Jack Russel’s Great White and Foreigner singer Lou Gramm, plus a mix of personalities including Emilio Rivera, Rusty Coones and Mo McRae (“Sons of Anarchy”), professional dirt bike riders, and decorated soldier Jeremiah Workman. The family-friendly event, which benefits the American Solider Network, also offers food, drinks and games for children. 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday at Douglas County Fairgrounds, 500 Fairgrounds Drive in Castle Rock. $12-$30, children under 5 free. .
