Denver prosecutors have formally charged a man accused of bursting through an emergency exit and trying to stop a departing plane at Denver International Airport this month.
Marc Rehmar, 58, was charged with endangering public transportation and hindering transportation, according to a news release Wednesday from District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.
Rehmar is accused of pushing open a secure emergency exit on a concourse on Aug. 6 and running onto the ramp area to try to stop a plane that was being pushed back from the gate, the release said.
The door triggered an alarm, and airport employees and Denver police responded, the release said.
Rehmar has been released from custody on a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Courtroom 2100 at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
