One person was injured after someone in a group of uninvited guests fired multiple shots when they were told to leave a party Saturday, according to Fountain police.

Police responded to calls reporting that up to eight shots were fired at 11:08 p.m. near Bentwater Drive, and Glenburn Drive.

The incident began at a party in the 7000 block of Bentwater after one of the guests posted information about the party on the social media site Snapchat.

A large group of people crashed the party and the homeowners told them to leave. As they were leaving a heated argument broke out between them and the invited guests, police said in a release.

The party crashers got into a dark colored sports utility vehicle and as it was leaving someone began firing. An invited guest was hit and suffered a minor injury and treated on the scene.

Bullets also struck one of the guest vehicles.

The Fountain Police Department are requesting help from the community. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Fountain Police Department at 719-382-8555.
