A family of three and their dog are safe after a fire broke out in the garage of a home in Centennial early Monday.

No one was injured.

About 25 firefighters from Cunningham and South Metro fire departments responded to the blaze at 5498 South Fundy Circle at about 12:15 a.m., said David Markham, Cunningham Fire Division Chief.

The fire began in the garage and spread to the second floor, he said. “It doesn’t appear at this time there are any criminal indications so we are all very happy.”

Firefighters knocked the fire down in about 15 minutes.

The dog was missing for a while, but firefighters found it and reunited it with the family.

The Red Cross is aiding the family, which has been displaced by the blaze.
