Justin Bieber is more than Jesus. And with his new Jack Ü-produced, album “Purpose,” he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. (In fact, he was just recruited to appear in the latest in the long line of “” movies.)
Despite the hot water the 22-year-old singer , Bieber has a soft side, too.
Most recently, Justin sent out an “SOS” to all the “Beliebers” in the land to submit a video of their best to enter for a chance to be a back-up dancer for Bieber at a stop on his “Purpose” tour.
Eleven-year-old Auroran Jonathan Jaramillo entered the #PurposeTourChildren contest with these slick moves:
Pretty spiffy! So spiffy, in fact, that earlier this week, Jarmillo got some huge news: He’d had been chosen to join Bieber for the singer’s . Check out his reaction, which is pretty undeniably adorable:
Jonathan’s mother, Desiree Jaramillo, said Jonathan’s specialty is hip-hop dancing, which isn’t offered by the Denver School of the Arts, where he’s a student.
Desiree said that Jonathan knew his as early as age seven that he wanted to be a hip-hop dancer. Talking to her, it’s clear that Jonathan has worked hard to get to the level of Bieber back-up. Between rushing from school to home for a quick bite and more practice, Desiree estimated that Jonathan logs an additional eight hours of practice every weekday. Weekends are usually reserved for competitions.
When she was asked about meeting Justin, she said that “Jonathan is as excited about meeting the dancers” as he his about meeting Bieber. Jonathan is scheduled for a tech rehearsal and a meet and greet the day of the show.
Break a leg, Jonathan. Just try not to upstage Bieber, or else he might make you sing
