The Interstate 25 Express Lanes will be closed from downtown Denver to U.S. 36 starting Friday night and ending Monday morning, officials said.
The closure, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday, is necessary for paving and bridge work in the area, according to a news release by the Colorado Department of Transportation.
“Rehabilitating the 20th Street Bridge over I-25 continues and requires the lanes on the bridge to be narrowed and shifted to accommodate the bridge construction, Mondays through Fridays,” the release said.
Work is scheduled through mid-September.
