Colorado Rapids midfielder Dillon Serna has been called in to the U.S. Under-23 national team’s final training camp before Olympic qualifying.
Serna, listed as a defender by coach Andy Herzog, is among 24 players called in to the England-based camp, which runs Aug. 30 to Sept. 8. The Americans will play friendlies against England on Sept. 3 and Qatar on Sept. 8.
Former Rapids’ Homegrown defender Shane O’Neill was also called in to the camp, as was of Highlands Ranch.
CONCACAF Olympic quyalifying matches run from Oct. 1-13. The U.S. will play at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City on Oct. 6 against Panama. Kick off is at 7:30 p.m.
