A water main break caused road closures in Denver Friday afternoon.
The 12-inch water main break happened at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Jasmine Street, Denver Police said.
Westbound Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is closed between Ivy Street and Kearney Street while crews work on repairs, according to a news release by Denver Water.
The road closures are anticipated to last until Saturday afternoon, the department said late Friday.
No customers will be without water during the repairs, Denver Water said.
A cause for the break has not been identified, but the release said that the age of the pipe, material, corrosiveness of the soil, water flow and temperature are likely factors.
