Getting your player ready...

Brandon Marshall is back from a foot injury that ailed him all summer and he’s ready to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. ()

Pro Football Focus released a tweet Monday night ranking its top five coverage linebackers in the NFL.

Top 5 LBs by PFF Coverage Rating:
1. Karlos Dansby 94
2. Thomas Davis 92
3. Luke Kuechly 91
4. Jerrell Freeman 90
5. Brandon Marshall 89

As you see above, Broncos starting inside linebacker Brandon Marshall was the only representative of the AFC West to earn a spot on the list. He wasn’t happy just being on the list.

#5?… I’m the best coverage linebacker in the NFL!!

— Brandon Marshall (@BMarshh54)

Yea I said it.. I’m the best coverage backer in the League

— Brandon Marshall (@BMarshh54)

Marshall is among a stud group on a list including two All-Pro players in Luke Kuechly and Karlos Dansby. But he wants to be four spots higher by the time and the next coverage rankings come out.

Marshall finished last season with 113 combined tackles, nine pass deflections, two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble through 14 games.

It isn’t just individual with Marshall either. He smiled from ear-to-ear when talking about being back in a game with his tackling partner Danny Trevathan Saturday against the 49ers and has big aspirations for the defense as a whole.

“We can be the No. 1 defense in the league,” Marshall said after the game Saturday. “Thatap my goal and thatap our goal as a team.”
