He won’t quit his day job at KDVR-KWGN, but Chris Parente will be back onstage this month.

Parente, a veteran of improv along with his TV anchor and entertainment reporting gigs, rejoins Stories on Stage in “Carpe Diem” on Saturday, Sept. 19. Performances are at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, 721 Santa Fe Drive, Denver.

Parente will read “God Bless America” by Steve Almond. He steps in for previously scheduled reader Tim DeKay. Tickets are $28 adult; $15 student. Call 303-494-0523 or online at www.storiesonstage.org
